The Retreat

Step away. Slow down. Make room for Jesus. There is something holy about stepping away. For three days, we invite women to leave behind the demands of everyday life and enter a place intentionally created for rest, reflection, worship, and the study of God’s Word. We are not trying to escape life but only to encounter the One who gives life.

No social media or outside distractions. We cultivate a space where schedules become simpler and conversations become deeper. And somewhere in the stillness, many women discover that Jesus has been waiting for them all along.

COME AS YOU ARE…

No one arrives at Poiema because she has everything together. Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to pretend.
You are welcome exactly as you are.

Everything we do points to one Person. Through Scripture, worship, prayer, quiet reflection, and authentic community, our desire is to create an environment where women can hear God’s voice with fresh clarity. Every teaching is rooted in Scripture. Every gathering is covered in prayer. Every detail is planned with one hope: That women would encounter Jesus.

Faith was never meant to be lived alone. Around tables, over meals, during prayer, and in ordinary conversations, strangers often become best friends. There is something deeply healing about discovering you are not the only one asking hard questions or carrying hidden burdens. God often ministers through His people.

A retreat eventually ends. Transformation doesn’t have to. Our prayer is not simply that women enjoy a beautiful weekend. It’s that they return home with a deeper love for Jesus, a greater understanding of His Word, and the confidence to walk faithfully into whatever He has prepared for them. Because an encounter with Christ changes the way we live long after the retreat is over.

We don’t manufacture emotional moments. We believe lives are changed when women encounter Jesus through His Word, respond to the leading of the Holy Spirit, and walk in authentic community. Everything we do is designed to make room for that encounter. The retreat isn’t the destination, Jesus is.

Our movement is: Come… Behold… Respond… Go.

For we are God’s masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
